Are you considering hiring a lawyer for your Workers Compensation claim?

Liking the lawyer you are considering on hiring is good but not a good enough reason to hire him or her. Some people hire a lawyer only for that reason. I know of some very personable and likeable lawyers who claim to do workers Compensation law, but whom I would never recommend based on their limited experience and expertise. There are many attorneys who have or claim to have general practices.

If an attorney does criminal, divorce, bankruptcy, as well as workers comp, you might think twice about hiring them. They cannot possibly have that much expertise if they are doing so many other practices.

Let’s take this popular example. Would you let a likeable surgeon operate on your body if that surgeon had limited experience in the operating room? It is important that you like your attorney, or at least respect him or her, but it should not provide the only basis for your hiring decision.
