Be aware of changes in Virginia Workers’ Compensation Weekly Benefits

The max/min amounts that are paid out to Virginia injured workers went down  last July 1st (2010). The max minimum went down from $223.75/week to $221.25/week. – So if your average take home pay per week prior to your injury was less than this number, you automatically get the max minimum allowance-which is now down to $221.25.  The max allowable workers’ comp weekly benefit went down from $895 to $885.  So if your average weekly wage prior to your injury was more than this, the most you can get is the $885.

The mileage rate stayed the same ($.505).
