Jennifer G. Capocelli – Attorney
Jennifer G. Capocelli has been a dedicated member of the Virginia legal community since 1993. She earned her undergraduate degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Jennifer went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1993.
Since her graduation from law school, Jennifer has focused her practice exclusively on workers’ compensation law. For over 20 years, she worked on the defense side, representing insurance companies and employers. In 2019, Jennifer shifted her focus to representing injured workers—an experience she describes as one of the most rewarding decisions of her career. She is passionate about helping individuals who have been hurt on the job and is honored to advocate for their rights. Jennifer believes that her prior work as a defense attorney makes her a well-rounded advocate, providing her with deep insight into how insurance companies operate and enabling her to fight effectively on behalf of her clients.

She is an active and engaged member of several professional organizations:
- Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group (WILG)-Board Member (2023-202),serves as a member of the Diversity Committee and the planning committee for the 2025 Annual Convention.
- American Association for Justice, served as the Chair of the Workers’ Compensation and Workplace Injury Section (2023-2024).
- Currently serves as Chair of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association’s Workers’ Compensation Section and is a member of the Legislative Committee where she advocates for changes to the law that benefit those individuals who have been injured at work.
- Virginia Workers’ Compensation American Inn of Court where she serves on several committees.
In addition to her legal work, Jennifer is a sought-after speaker on workers’ compensation topics throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.
When she’s not in the office, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband, playing with their two dogs (Rylee and Cooper), doing CrossFit, and cheering on the Boston Red Sox — Go Sox! She is the proud mother of three grown children — Josh, Ben, and Cassie — and loves being a grandmother to four grandsons: Hayden, Graham, Parker, and Jack.
Jennifer finds daily inspiration in her work, knowing that she is fighting for those who cannot fight for themselves. She is committed to helping her clients navigate a system that is often stacked against injured workers, working tirelessly to achieve the best possible outcomes for them.
