Romella Salcedo- Medical Records Specialist

Romella Salcedo is a Medical Records Specialist at Injured Workers Law Firm, where she helps obtain and update clients’ medical records, follows up with medical providers, and makes sure the legal team has the records they need for each case.
Before joining IWLF, Romella worked as a Medical Records Reviewer for a personal injury law firm in New York, specializing in nursing home negligence and medical malpractice cases. Her experience includes reviewing and organizing medical records, preparing medical chronologies, identifying important information and gaps in medical documentation, and reviewing medical bills and liens.
Romella holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and also trained under a Legal Nurse Consultant for two years, where she gained valuable experience reviewing medical records and understanding how medical documentation relates to legal cases.
What motivates Romella most about her work at IWLF is knowing that she can help make the process a little easier for clients. She understands that injured workers already have enough to worry about and wants them to be able to focus on getting well rather than tracking down medical documentation. She finds it rewarding to make sure records are requested, followed up on, and completed as quickly and thoroughly as possible.
Outside of work, Romella is married and a mom of three. She loves making time for her children, especially helping with their school activities and being involved in the things they enjoy. She also enjoys going to the beach with her family, reading, watching movies, and unwinding with one of her favorite Netflix series, Emily in Paris.
Romella is inspired by people who continue to learn, grow, and use what they have learned to help others. One of her favorite quotes from John C. Maxwell is, “Success is knowing your purpose in life, growing to reach your maximum potential, and sowing seeds that benefit others.”
