I worked for an attorney in Ohio handling workers’ compensation claims for five years before relocating to Richmond, Virginia in September 2010. I started at Injured Workers Law Firm on Valentine’s Day, 2011 and worked in the office for a little over 2 years. My husband at the time, Kyle, was then transferred back to Ohio so I relocated again in March 2013. Thankfully, with the cooperation of the rest of the team, I was able to keep my job working remotely as our intake paralegal. I am so thrilled I get to remain a member of this team. I love my job because I get to help people every day by listening to the issues that keep them awake at night and by offering information to them that the insurance company fails to tell them. Helping people to better understand their situation and make some sense of what is going on in their lives is what makes my job rewarding.
